This highly anticipated summer tradition, sponsored by the City of Akron, features the biggest and baddest rib vendors vying for cash prizes and bragging rights as they travel from Ohio, Texas, the Carolinas and Tennesee. On stage during the festival will be 1964, The Tribute to the Beatles and Hotel California, The Tribute to the Eagles.
For the third year, the City of Akron welcomes The Akron Symphony Orchestra for a July 4th pops concert on American classics, featuring trumpet soloist Byron Stripling of the Columbus Jazz Orchestra, who plays the lead in the musical "Satchmo."
